To be honest, I’ve never really understood the vitriol reserved for this movie. It gave us Hemsworth, Hiddleston, and Anthony Hopkins as Odin. There was a beautiful, horrifying moment in 2018 when everyone thought everyone else was dead. Ending with a snap that silenced the cinema , Infinity War was the MCU at its bravest – even if it was all undone by a sequel that walked back most of the big deaths. Still one of the greatest downbeat cliffhangers in film history – at the end of yet another great superstar showdown.
